Vibraphonist John Bell had been rehearsing and performing with this trio sporadically in 2000 and again in 2001 before returning to New Zealand. The trio features the talents of bassist Frank Di Sario and drummer Ronnie Ferella.
John Bell has performed and recorded widely over the last decade in both NZ and Australia. Projects have included - 'C L BOB', the 'Razorblades' and 'Sanctus' whose album '2 Moons' was released in 2000. John teaches improvisation at Massey University's School of Jazz in Albany, New Zealand. Ronny Ferella features on several previous Newmarket Music releases as leader with his own Melbourne based group, 'IshIsh' and supporting his partner, vocalist Michelle Nicolle (winner of the Australian National Jazz Award in 1999). 'The bassist also has an acclaimed release in the Newmarket Music catalogue by 'Frank Disario's Trust'.
