Recorded at ABC Studios in Melbourne and launched to a full house at the Paris Cat Jazz Club, 'The Nearness of You’ is the debut release from Melbourne singer and actress Samantha Morley. 

Samantha, no stranger to the performing arts, has appeared in everything from musicals such as Billy Elliot, playing the role of Billy’s mother, to singing support for Barry White in his final Australian concert tour. 

Samantha has spent much of her career exploring the genres of pop, folk, country and jazz, which is evident in the combination of originals and carefully arranged covers on this exceptionally executed release.
